The Case for Touch: Guest Blogger Amanda King

By |2020-08-16T18:53:21-04:00August 16th, 2020|Blog|

The Case for Touch: Guest Blogger Amanda King I am honored and delighted to have Amanda King as a guest blogger. She is coming to teach Zero Balancing I this fall. Enjoy her insights !!!! My sense is, as a bodyworker, that healing possibilities through touch are infinite. Professional touch, while geared to provide a consistency of experience to the client, also allows for that person's individual response to a multitude of factors, including pain sensitivity, pressure, etc. In approaching a new client, for example, I ask her if she is used to touch, therapeutic or otherwise. If not, I approach such a client with greater awareness so as to provide an experience of the potentials of touch. In massage, [...]

Zero Balancing Happenings…

By |2020-07-06T22:45:26-04:00July 6th, 2020|Blog|

Zero Balancing Happenings... The Zero Balancing Teacher Training (ZBTT) program started this year. I was accepted into the program in March. I am so excited to have this opportunity to grow as a teacher, practitioner and individual. Zero Balancing (ZB) is a holistic body-mind therapy. One of the ZB practitioner's guiding principles is to engage the client's structure and energy consciously and simultaneously at Interface.  When a person is touched at Interface there is a clear structural and energetic boundary.  It allows the client to feel where his/her body ends, and the practitioner's body begins.  This Interface touch is unique to Zero Balancing.  I am looking forward to sharing ZB with Healing Way Center.  For students....... I will be able [...]

Raise your Vibration & Look at The World Anew

By |2020-02-17T09:30:02-05:00February 12th, 2020|Blog|

Raise your Vibration I often wonder about the meaning of life. Why is the world the way it is and why do we do this thing called life? I have read a lot of books and articles that touch on these questions. I have studied two bodies of work which are called Magnified Healing® and The Melchizedek Method®. They present ideas that look at the world in a way that examines these questions. Both introduce concepts including holograms, ascension, sacred geometry and activations as some of the ways that reality works. Today, I am going to write about my thoughts around 'activations' and some of the research I have done. The word activation has a dictionary meaning of the [...]

Reflections on Zero Balancing

By |2019-03-06T15:49:25-05:00March 6th, 2019|Blog|

Zero Balancing Reflections I experienced Zero Balancing for the first time during an Advanced CranioSacral Therapy workshop.  One of the teaching assistants suggested it as a way for me to 'drop into' the space of being ready to receive my session.  Wow.... that phrase did not capture the wave of awareness that went through my body. I had a very deep and healing session.  I got off the table and asked the teaching assistant what he had done. When he said "Zero Balancing", my first thought was I want more of 'that'. More for myself, and more to offer my clients. My first Zero Balancing workshop I took in the Boston area. I was watching the instructor demonstrate techniques [...]
