6 Things Horses Can Teach Us By Keri Stella, Animal Reiki Practitioner and Intuitive What can us humans learn from horses?  That was a question I asked myself when I attended an "Awakening with Horses" event this past weekend in Andover, MA at Ironstone Farm, led by Cowboy and Seth Monk.  Initially, I attended the event to just gain more experience with horses and learn more about them.  I am an animal reiki practitioner and intuitive, so I was thinking maybe I would focus on that aspect with the horses.  I was completely wrong!  Throw that out the window - I needed to just focus on just being present with the horses - no other agenda.  Going into an arena [...]

Magnified Healing® By Lynn Elzweig, HF RM, HF KRM, MH Magnified Healing® was given to Reiki Masters, Gisele King and Kathryn Anderson in 1983 by Kwan Yin. In 1992 after much meditation and receiving more information, the two women became the primary teachers of Magnified Healing® and subsequently taught classes all over the world. The energy of Magnified Healing®  includes love, healing karma, and ascension. In giving Magnified Healing®  1st Phase session, a trained practitioner guides the client through motion, breath, and speech.  It is very powerful and grounding, involving a link to God or a Higher Power. Please note, however, that the training is not religious. I found that after I took the two-day 1st Phase Workshop and practiced [...]

Modality Feature: Cupping

Cupping Cupping By Dianne Wall Cupping therapy is an ancient traditional technique that uses negative pressure (suction) to assist the body’s own healing process by improving blood and lymph circulation and pulling toxins from the tissues. It was once commonplace around the world, most notably in China where its documented use dates back over 2,000 years. With the rise of ‘modern’ medicine and pharmaceuticals cupping fell out of favor at the end of the 19th century, though it remained a home remedy in many cultures. Thanks to celebrities like actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps who avail themselves of its benefits, cupping is gaining popularity again. Cupping can be used to facilitate muscle and fascia tension [...]

Reiki for Loved Ones By Caitlin Marino Reiki for Loved Ones is a program at Healing Way Center that offers distant Reiki sessions in 15 minute increments. This allows anyone to purchase a gift of 15 minutes or more for friends, loved ones or even themselves. The point of offering these short customized sessions is to allow for flexibility. Clients can experience the benefits and support of Reiki outside of the physical treatment space. These sessions are ideal for people who are undergoing surgery, receiving chemotherapy treatments, or just looking for some extra relaxation or support on their lunch break. The possibilities are endless. I have personally experienced the benefits of distance Reiki in preparation of and recovery from a [...]

Modality of the Month: Distant Healing

By |2017-09-22T14:12:50-04:00November 12th, 2015|Modality Feature|

At Healing Way Center we offer our clients the option to have energy work done in person or at a distance. This is because when working with a client's energy it is not necessary for them to be physically present. Studies have shown that distant healing is just as effective as having the work done in person. We know that this is not an easy topic for people to wrap their heads around so we wanted to help make it more clear. Bernadette Doran BS, RMT does a very nice job of explaining this concept in her article "The Science Behind Distant Healing".
